I've decided to restart my monthly fundraising update posts, although I'm not going to go into nearly as much detail as I did last cycle until we get into 2026.
The graph below tells the story: My fundraising efforts for the 2025-2026 cycle: So far this cycle I've raised a stunning 3.6x as much for Democrats as I had at the same point 4 years ago...and a jaw-dropping 7.7x as much as I had at this point 2 years ago.
In spite of the pace dropping off dramatically now that the high-profile special elections in Florida & Wisconsin are behind us, I still raised 1.8x as much for April alone as I did in April 2021 or 2023 (it was roughly ~$6,400 in each of those months).
In terms of category breakout, so far this cycle I've raised:
- U.S. Senate: $7,814
- U.S. House: $80,153*
- State Legislative: $61,510
- Govs/AGs/SoS: $2,294
- Courts: $18,835
- Other: $21,370**
*$55.4K of this was for the special elections in FL-01 & FL-06
**$6.5K of this was for Jill Underly for WI Superintendent; nearly all of the rest was for state Democratic parties
Going forward, assuming things play out similarly to how they did during the last midterm cycle (2021-2022), I'd expect May - August to look similar to April (perhaps $12K/month or so), followed by things spiking somewhat in September & October ahead of the Virginia & New Jersey gubernatorial/state legislative races.
After that we'll be into the 2026 Midterm season proper and all bets are off.

As for social media engagement, as you can see, on a per-follower basis, every other platform continues to kick Twitter/X's ass, with BlueSky generating 5.8x as many clickthrus per post and 3x as much donated for the month of April.
Interestingly, Spoutible continues to perform very well on traffic while Threads is back from the dead in donations per follower (although it still only generated a tiny fraction in actual dollars).

I've actually raised over $195,000 since 11/06/24, but $3,700 of it was canceled/refunded ($3,300 of which was "leftover" recurring donations for 2024 candidates canceled before January).
Other oddball points:
- $11,316 has been raised via this site (ie, people visiting here and then clicking thru to the donation pages
- $36,612 has been raised via social media links (Bluesky, Mastodon, Spoutible, Threads & Twitter) total
- $141,306 has been raised via direct links--that is, people going directly to the pages w/out any referral code attached
